This innovative support group offers a safe, nonjudgmental place for survivors to talk about what led them to attempt suicide and the impact on their lives. Survivors learn coping skills to more effectively manage suicidal thoughts, and create safety plans to keep themselves safe during a crisis to help reduce triggers. The group is facilitated by a clinician and a peer (survivor of a suicide attempt).
Created for first responders in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic to help manage trauma and burnout. This group provides support on resilience, coping skills, and methods of maintaining long-term and overall wellbeing.
Available for those caring for loved ones struggling with chronic suicidal thoughts or someone who has made an attempt. This group provides education on mental health and how to support and assess risk in your loved one. Techniques about coping skills, boundary setting, and self-care are also offered.
“Suicide is a forbidden subject, but at Didi Hirsch, I found a place where I could talk about what I was going through with people who knew firsthand what I was saying. And that made a real difference.”
